How Should I Feel?

How Should I Feel When I take Organic CBD Oil?

If you mean how are your going to feel health wise, wellness wise, that is up to you and your body. We will talk about that in a minute. If you are talking about “will I get high or euphoric or agitated or stoned or get the munchies or frightened” or so many other things that are misapplied to CBD oil, well, no, you won’t. Those reactions are all based on various responses people usually exhibit when they have been taking or using something that contains THC or THC oil, the common psychoactive agent that is one of the cannabinoids in some strains of Cannabis, or a product with THC blended in.

Psychoactive response, also called psychotropic response, is a function of the brain responding most often to a chemical stimulant of some type that causes particular sets of reactions in the body or brain of the subject. The reactions will vary according to the other cannabinoids in the compound (or what kind of Cannabis it is), what else is in the person’s system (alcohol, prescription medications or other kinds of intoxicants), their emotional or psychological state going into the experience, the location and surroundings they are in when they are experiencing it, their physical condition and/or any illnesses or issues you are experiencing… you get the idea, lots and lots of things affect how you feel if you are having a psychoactive experience.

CBD oil has undergone a number of research projects and the most commonly reported aftereffects include less anxiety, increased or reduced appetite (depending on other cannabinoids), reduction in nausea, sleepiness or alertness, reduction of blood pressure, reduction in cravings, less inflammation or neuralgic discomfort, and other responses*. Due to the interaction and balancing that occurs during attachment and exchange between the cannabinoids and the endocannabinoid system, different responses occur in different people under different circumstances. Some of the response also has to do with the intensity (quantity of CBD and other compounds) of the available spectrum in the CBD oil, and the person’s own body and metabolism. Weight, height, diet, health issues, and other factors may affect how you respond.

Each person’s system is a bit different and responds differently when you take hemp oil. Total sphere aerial hemp extract or oil is also very different than hemp seed soil or isolate compounds such as CBD isolate oil. The cannabinoids, terpenes, and other compounds found in Cannabis work synergistically together with a much better outcome than alone science has found so far when used for overall wellness and other issues*. Each cannabinoid, whether it is CBD, CBDa, CBDb, CBG, CBN, or others, works better, often with increased potency, and with better balance for the body when all the components are available. This also holds true for terpenes, since terpenes and cannabinoids work together as part of what is called the entourage effect.

Modern stress, exposure to environmental chemicals and pollutants, blue light off our computer screens, lack of sleep, illness and medical conditions, and things we put into our bodies and probably shouldn’t all contribute to the endocannabinoid system getting out of balance. When it gets off track, even a tiny bit, there is some other neural net structure that is not getting the signals it needs to fire, work, create, transport, stop, or otherwise do its thing. By providing the multi-faceted components available in Cannabis pure spectrum CBD oil, the body is given the additional building blocks it needs to correct, align, clear, function, and unjam those neurotransmitter messages so the cells know what they are supposed to be doing. Basically CBD reboots the body’s reset button. While single components within hemp extract can help, they are limited in their individual scope as to what they can achieve by what science is observing. When they have the community of components, however, the body has what it needs to fine tune.

You might be asking, “Well, what about the THC then? It is not in there.” Actually, it is, in a very miniscule amount. In fact, about 85% of the cannabinoids and terpenes are in minuscule amounts. It does not take a lot for the body to find what it needs and utilize it. It is similar to baking a cake. It does not take a lot of leavening at all to make it rise, working on all the big amounts of flour and other ingredients to combine and create a final positive outcome – a cake.

Hemp seed oil will generally not provide any physical or psychological response you are able to feel and acknowledge, but will provide omega fatty acids that are healthy. Isolate is pure crystalline CBD usually processed by means of strong chemicals and high temperatures. Since CBD works by far the best, according to all the valid studies around the world, in community in the body when it has all the other components found in the Cannabis plant to work with, isolate can only do very limited things. It is also extremely strong, can be dangerous, can easily cause damage when smoked or vaped, and should only be used under the direct care of a knowledgeable physician. It is also more susceptible to becoming unstable in solution.

What we have learned, though, is to date there has never been an overdose, allergic response, or other strong negative of any kind reported in any study, ever, in research involving wide spectrum, whole aerial plant CBD oil. CBD and the other cannabinoids are near full compatibility and similarity with and to the endocannabinoids the body produces. Many times the naturally produced endocannabinoids are not in sufficient quantity to handle particular issues that are influenced by other things like stress, chemicals including drugs, or hormones, to name just a few. The endocannabinoid system is able to be augmented, supplemented, or is able to increase the bodily response through the cannabinoid’s “help”, triggering the endocannabinoid system to grow, repair, fix, change, or otherwise “tweak” the body chemistry and structures to move towards homeostasis, or balance. In other words, Cannabis cannabinoids are a natural supplement to help the body get what it needs to move towards a more normal, consistent, healthy condition by working with the naturally occurring chemicals in the body in a natural way that is not harmful and mimics what is already going on or is supposed to be going on ideally. The more complete the extract, the more complete nature’s best CBD product available from Vid-CBD can provide the body’s best chance to respond and improve*.

While Cannabis is not the only plant that contains terpenes and flavonoids, it is unique because some of the flavonoids, called cannaflavins, are only found in Cannabis, as are the majority of the cannabinoids. A few of the other plants known to also have cannabinoids in varying type and quantity (so far discovered) include mangoes, clove, black pepper, Echinacea, broccoli, ginseng, and carrots. What is unique about Cannabis is the complete package of over 200 cannabinoids occurs in substantial quantities in hemp. It is like a pharmacy on a stalk for helping the human endocannabinoids do what they need to do to run nearly every system in the body.

While you may experience a feeling of calm, relaxation, less anxiety, or even sleepiness, the aftereffects of utilizing CBD oil are only positive and good from all reports. We have learned from our customers that most tired or sleepy responses result from their finally relaxing and their body letting out a big sigh of relief. There will be no midnight raids on the refrigerator, and you will not be terrified to drive. You will be completely in control of your thoughts, emotions, responses, ability to communicate, and other vital parts of being who you are. A few people, who have either overindulged or are not aware of what carrier oil is being used in their CBD oil may experience some increased intestinal function.

Hemp is also unique in that soil conditions, weather, sunshine, the amount of rain or moisture, hours of darkness, and other things all affect the production of CBD in various species and cultivars of Cannabis. Keeping hemp happy with what it prefers, and raising it from carefully selected, stable strains that have as complete as possible cannabinoid, terpene and flavonoid profiles, provides all the building blocks it needs to produce pure CBD once the plants are mature, harvested, processed, and blended with a stabilizing carrier like MCT. Since all cannabinoids require an oil carrier agent for the body to absorb them, it is even more important that stringent organic standards are met throughout the entire process. Vid-CBD is dedicated to providing the best quality, full spectrum, most bioavailable hemp oil CBD rich we can nurture and bottle for your wellness and well being*.

So, if you want a compact answer about “how will I feel” after using Vid-CBD oil, probably somewhere between pretty good* and awesome. Of course, a healthy lifestyle, plenty of sleep, good clean food and water and a dose of exercise go along with that, while eliminating stress and negativity in your life are part of a healthy, natural “prescription”. Total sphere CBD oil may help you deal with it all easier, and you may feel better while doing it*.

You have our word on that.

Legal to purchase

Is it legal for me to buy and take CBD oil?

Yes.

Now that we have that over, let’s explain how and why, as there is a lot of confusion in the marketplace about what is legal, what is not, where it is legal, and how it all fits into the big picture.

Federal law as of the signing of the 2014 Farm Bill on December 20, 2018 makes it legal for any hemp product containing less than 0.3% THC to be manufactured and sold in the United States. Seems pretty straightforward and simple, right? Well, not quite.

By doing this, without corrections to the Controlled Substance Act, which is nebulous at best about Cannabis at this time, the DEA, having lowered without much aplomb products with under 0.1% THC content to a Class 5 instead of a Class 1 on the federal schedule, put the states in control of their own destiny. Since both the FDA and the DEA control the CSA, it has become even more of a quagmire, as the FDA is who wanted hemp on the farm bill in the first place to make it legal once again to grow as an agricultural crop. As of this writing, 33 states have legalized medical Cannabis and another 11 have made recreational use legal. That now includes Ohio, who was still arresting sellers of CBD in May, 2019, and Florida, who was arresting 69 year old great-grandmothers at the same time for having CBD in their possession even though recommended by their doctor. (Ohio has since decriminalized and the judge threw great-grandma’s case out of court and dismissed the charge.) It is really important that you look at current information, because Cannabis laws are literally changing daily as research shows more and more positive promise for use in wellness and industry.

The problem for the seller and great grandma? What was actually in the CBD that didn’t belong there.

We can not emphasise enough, know who you are buying CBD products from, how they are making their product, and read their third party independent test results. It is estimated that only 30% of the products out there are accurately labeled, or contain what they claim.

In the case of the great-grandmother, security guards saw her bottle, which she used for arthritis, labeled that it contained no THC. It tested positive. The case was later thrown out of court, but it is indicative of why Vid’s parent company HPN is so strongly involved in working towards self-regulation and standardized labeling as well as testing standards for all processing companies and sellers of any CBD product. We know from experience that many products are hemp seed oil that while healthy has zero cannabinoids, and much is being labeled CBD and sold at prices sometimes hundreds of times over the cost of inexpensive hemp seed oil. There are also a lot of products that contain things not listed, or not listed accurately, and some of them are harmful. This is currently being scrutinized heavily, especially in CBD vape oil smoking products, as some products have additives that quickly break down on the shelf, turning the contents into aldehydes and acetyls that are flat dangerous when ignited and inhaled.

That is why you will always find full disclosure on all Vid-CBD products, with current independent third party lab analysis readily available, including not only cannabinoid and terpene analysis, but pesticide, pathogen, and other reports all in easy to read, fully disclosed format.

We care about the quality of our products and the health and safety of our customers, and we want you to have access to organically raised and processed CBD hemp oil that has everything in it, is bioavailable for your wellness and well being*, and is safe. You deserve to get what you think you are paying for, too. We stand behind every bottle, jar, tin, or container of any product we offer, 100%. Every ingredient in our products is clearly listed in easy to understand language and measurements on every container. When you see 300 mg, you know there are 300 mg of wide spectrum CBD hemp extract in that 30 ml bottle, the rest being MCT (coconut oil that is processed to make it more bioavailable). We want you to know exactly what you are getting, every time.

Total sphere aerial CBD oil is not psychoactive, meaning it cannot alter your mind state or “get you high”. It contains well below the federally mandated limits for 9-delta tetrahydrocannabinol or THC. To be legal to sell, any product from hemp must be at or below 0.3% (.003 out of 100) THC content. If you check the independent third party laboratory tests we regularly post and update with each batch processed, you will find all Vid products are well below the federal maximum levels required for THC.

Please note, however, even with these very low levels, if you are submitting for a very finely tuned, sensitive screening, you could potentially show “positive” even though what you are using for your wellness* is well within all legal guidelines. This is similar to what people in some professions face if they eat a roll with poppy seeds on it, and then test positive for opiates. It is advised you always disclose to your doctor, and to any testing facility, if you are utilizing cannabidiol oil if you are in a sensitive profession subject to sensitive screening procedures, just to be completely safe.

With regard to legality, a little history is needed to best answer the question of if and how it is legal to buy, own, and use CBD oil. CBD is legal to use in all 50 states and has been, even before the signing of the federal Farm Bill in December 2018.  Surprised? Don’t be.

There has been a lot of grey harbarly-garbardly about what the regulations really say about extracts from the Cannabis plant over the years, because it states clearly, sort of, not really, that extracts or any products made from the Cannabis plant were not legal. The whole purpose was to not make anything containing THC legal and readily available. States stepped in and began to pass in their state legislatures or through voter referendum the option of medical marijuana, first, then later recreational marijuana, based on decades of research, historical data, law enforcement information, medical research, and other sources showing that not only were there mountains of evidence over many years showing that Cannabis could provide potential relief for a myriad of ailments* but also there was no evidence to support the previous notion that those who consumed it would become violent, addicted, move on to stronger forms of recreation, or other problems that could ensue.

It is still illegal in all states to operate motor vehicles under the influence of any intoxicant – alcohol, illegal drugs, or prescription drugs. Does this mean it is illegal for you to use CBD oil and drive? No, it is perfectly legal to use your CBD oil. You do need to know what it in it, unlike the great-grandmother who got arrested. Know what you are buying and using, and if the company is reliable and transparent like Vid-CBD, and you will be in good shape.

It does mean if you use a product with THC content and you get stopped, though, a DUI is a DUI. We have one answer to the question – Drive responsibly. If you are taking full spectrum CBD oil and you get sleepy – don’t drive. You are still responsible for and in charge of safety for yourself and others.

Voters realized that potential benefits far outweighed the cost of enforcement over questions of very grey areas previously pushed as an agenda against hemp. They also saw that applications available of industrial hemp for farming, construction, biofuel, manufacturing, biodegradable products and more as a sustainable, renewable resource were enormous, potentially surpassing the vast medicinal potential. The evidence over 70 years just was not present to support arguments against Cannabis as a whole, and science became a lot more refined and could explain the differences between THC, CBD, industrial hemp and Cannabis grown for medical or recreational use.

The bottom line is yes, it is legal to buy, own, possess, use, drop in your smoothie or coffee or on your pizza or whatever you please to do with your Vid-CBD oil. We know you will find many ways to appreciate our pure, organic growing standards and processing to bring you the finest wide spectrum CBD hemp oil products on the market, hands down. You can always rest assured that 100% of the time you will know exactly what is in your product. We even triple seal every product we sell, just to make sure no one tampers with anything. We want you safe, sure, and happier. You might have to educate a few folks along the way, though, so keep an eye on new information we regularly post under our Learn menu.

Please remember that everyone responds to total sphere CBD oil differently, and when you change dosages you need to do it so you can pay attention to your own response. In some situations full spectrum CBD hemp oil can ease anxiety and improve relaxation*, leading to sleepiness or being drowsy when your body gives up all those fight or flight hormones. Please, do not drive or operate machinery or do anything that can get you or someone else injured when you up dosages until you know how your system will react. You would not be relaxed any longer and we would be sad if something so unnecessary, happened. We want you to take care of yourself responsibly, and at Vid, that includes those around you, too.

Monitor your own response and know your system and what triggers it, to be safe. As for those you have to educate, well, we know that you need the most up-to-date information available about what the new research is showing and what is going on in the exciting world of hemp. Check back regularly with us for updates on our blog pages and on our website content, as the world of hemp is truly a great cosmic frontier, all of it good for you. We will do our best to keep you well informed.

You have our word on that.

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol, or CBD for short, is one of 485 natural occurring compounds currently identified made by Cannabis plants. Since the industrial hemp form of Cannabis was just recently legalized once again in the US, information is changing and expanding dynamically. This number may well increase as research proceeds, because both formal scientific researchers and self-reporting citizen scientists are realising an undiscovered universe in the hemp plant. All forms of Cannabis have a large variety of cannabinoids, flavonoids (called cannaflavins in hemp), omega fatty acids, phenols, chlorophyll, and many other compounds contained in a full plant extract. The amount or even presence in some cases of some or other of the compounds is determined by the kind, or cultivar (strain) of Cannabis from which the extract was obtained, the growing conditions including soil, moisture, and sunlight, and the type and procedures used for extraction of that particular extract from the plant material.

Cannabidiol, or CBD in organic chemistry shorthand, was discovered in 1940. It is actually a phytocannabinoid, which is a plant (phyto – plant) derived cannabinoid, a term most often used when referring to Cannabis derived cannabinoids that have the ability to effectively bind to receptor cells in the body. Those receptors are known as the endocannabinoid system, a new frontier undergoing vast research to explore the possibilities in wellness and medical applications. The human body produces endocannabinoids, Cannabis makes a large variety and quantity of cannabinoids in the plant world with some other plants, fruits, and flowers following suit, and others are made with chemicals and therefore, artificially.

The endocannabinoid system, for decades little understood and thought only to reside in the brain and intestinal tract, are now known to occur in nearly every bodily system including the nervous, muscular, skeletal, endocrine, vascular, and others. What makes the cannabinoids of such interest to medical research is their ability to bind with endocannabinoid receptors, helping regulate various bodily functions, reactions, sensations, and helping to generate changes in how, where, and the strength of neurotransmitters released in the brain. The great part is it does it naturally, without side effects, addiction and dependency, or tolerance buildup.

When CBD or any other cannabinoid joins up or acts on a receptor, it does so through what is called a ligand. Ligands are formed when a compound like CBD, the biomolecule, meets up with a receptor protein, forming a complex. Ligands always have a biological purpose for forming, and act as a sort of signaling or message transmission system to the neurotransmitters, telling them to modify what they tell the brain. Ligands usually send messages that start a process to fix, to help, or to resist, in very simplified terms. They act like a traffic signal to let the endocannabinoid-neurotransmitters know the type of action to tell the brain, as well as the other systems in the body, to start or stop processing.

The cannabinoid most people are used to hearing about is delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC. THC is the chemical in some cultivars of Cannabis that gets you “high”, or in science terms, creates a psychoactive effect. The use of the word psychoactive for “getting a buzz” is really a misapplication of the word, because psychoactive means “affecting the mind”, and lots of things affect the mind, from THC to alcohol to a wide range of prescription drugs to more commonly adrenaline and other compounds (hundreds of them in fact) that the body naturally produces. Each one has its own action and response, and does a particular “thing” in terms of what it tells the brain to do, feel, or act upon. Total spectrum CBD oil has very low levels of THC, well below federal standard limits, and it will not provide a psychoactive response. It might, however, help you to relax, release anxiety, or bolster your mood* based on your own physiological needs.

Federal limits for THC content in a manufactured or processed for sale product must fall below 0.3% (0.003 out of 100) to be legal to sell. CBD will not get you high, it will not get you a “buzz”, and it cannot get you “stoned” if you wanted it to. The chemical is not the same, and does not do the same thing. It is kind of like having a glass of pure water sitting next to a glass of vodka. They might look similar, but they are very different. Vid-CBD has independent, third party laboratory analysis done on every batch of cannabidiol oil, both to verify the various cannabinoid and terpene concentrations and to verify quality, lack of pesticides and residues, and to certify there are no microbes present. That information can be located under our Learn: Lab Analysis menu. You will always be able to see exactly what is in every bottle of high quality, as close to nature as possible Vid CBD Oil.

Cannabis that is grown to produce a wide spectrum CBD oil is primarily derived from proprietary cultivar varieties, or strains as they are commonly called, that are both high in CBD – cannabidiol – and very, very low in THC after processing. They also are bred to include as many terpenes, flavonoids, phenols, and other components that have shown promise in helping with various wellness and well-being conditions* as can be gained. They have been carefully crossbred just like would occur in nature by way of cross-pollination. That is why all fields used for growing Vid hemp use no-till cultivation practices and a healthy green crop like alfalfa or cilantro to attract beneficial insects – pollinators – as well as predatory insects who feed on bugs, worms, flies, or any other insect that doesn’t take the hint from hemp’s natural pest defenses to stay away. We disturb the soil as little as possible, minimizing erosion and loss of nutrients, while enhancing the soil with nitrogen, minerals, and plant matter that helps keep moisture where it is needed while supplying nutrients to the plants, all through completely organic, best sustainable agricultural practices.

In fact, most quality hemp used for CBD extraction has been tinkered with very little, as the cultivars are stable, long established strains that work with natural elements, organic fertilizers, natural pest control, and other wholesome growing conditions that make them well rounded in terms of their habits, growth, and chemical content. In other words, they are as close to wild and natural as is practical, but grown for the best ingredients that can be produced by the plant.

CBD is one over 200 known cannabinoids so far identified in Cannabis plants. Depending on the subspecies, or cultivar, CBD may make up as much as 40% by volume of the cannabinoids extracted during processing. CBD, chemically shown as C21H30O2, is not soluble in water. In a totally pure state it is an inert, colorless, crystalline solid. This pure, highly refined and extremely strong crystalline CBD is what has been approved for use in newly approved anti-epileptic medications to treat Lennox-Gastaut and Dravet’s Syndrome, two previously untreatable, deadly forms of epilepsy found in children. How it interacts with bases or acids, and combines or breaks down in the body, is a very complex topic left to the psychopharmacology experts, as CBD is a chameleon of sorts, taking on characteristics very different depending on what is present for it to work with in solution.

CBD is just one of a host of “goodies” in organic hemp raised for healthy extraction. Hemp, the “industrial” name for the Cannabis plant, does not contain sufficient THC to even detect it in some varieties. It also looks considerably different than Cannabis grown for medical marijuana purposes. Tall, industrial hemp can reach well over 6-8’ in height, is far less bushy, and often is grown in outside fields rather than in grow houses like Cannabis grown for medical or recreational purposes. Vid grows hemp for full spectrum CBD oil which has all the cannabinoids in it as well as the flavonoids and other things that are good for your wellness*. Most medical or recreational hemp is grown in grow houses to control light, temperature, moisture, and other conditions. CBD hemp is grown to maximize the full range of components that encourage the entourage effect, while grow house plants have different expectations and most often are grown to increase THC content, some particular terpenes for flavors and fragrances, and other components.
